At Fette Sau, there’s no table service—but that doesn’t stop hungry groups seated at communal picnic tables from chowing down on ribs, brisket, sausage, pork belly bacon and flank steak; most of the meat is so flavorful, the sauce is superfluous. Skip most of the bland sides, but definitely add on a handful of Guss’ half sour pickles. Wash it down with a truly impressive selection of bourbons; if you can’t decide on just one, try a whiskey flight to sample several at a time.
