This weekend I took refuge from the city at a cozy hideout in the Catskill Mountains called Breathe Inn. After a quick tour of the house I realized that this place was a welcome change from other doily-laden Bed n’ Breakfasts I’ve been too. The aesthetic is eclectic and clean; the type of place you want to lounge around and read magazines on a rainy day. From my room I watched the clouds roll in and out, always revealing a different glimpse of the tree-covered mountains. The food was delicious and healthy, and the communal breakfast table became a gathering place for all the friendly and creative guests who seemed to be drawn there for the same reason. Definitely on my list for a return visit. Look for a full write-up in the future.
