Zagat interviews Nick Valenti from the Patina Group, the company responsible for bringing La Fonda del Sol back to life. Valenti explains how the current design only pays tribute to Alexander Girard’s work in the logo and references the sun motif in the interior design. The team behind the design, Adam Tihany, is also responsible for restaurants like Daniel, Le Cirque, Per Se, and many others.

Eater sent photographer, Daniel Krieger, to shoot the interior of La Fonda del Sol and reveals a casual cafe area and bar that resembles a diner, and a plusher dining room on a raised tier.

La Fonda del Sol is partially open with the cafe and bar ready for service while the dining room will open next week.
