There’s a moment in every New Yorker when he or she looks up from the sidewalk into a loft and wonder what it would be like to live in such a space. This weekend New Yorkers will be given the opportunity to tour some of these private spaces. Doors that are usually closed to the public will be open this weekend as Open House New York returns. From the underground to the private residences, see a bit of the five boroughs that many do not have access to. Highlights include The Atlantic Avenue tunnel, Chrysler Building, illy Push Button House, Kushner Residence, Red Hook Carriage House + Architecture Office, and the Richard Meier & Partners Model Museum. Visit OHNY’s site to see the list of the entire program. Though several of the popular tours are booked there are many others that are still open. The 7th annual OHNY takes place on October 10th and 11th.
